Jan ter Harmsel
Jan ter Harmsel is a soccer referee from the Netherlands who has run the Dutch Referee Blog for the past 10 years, where he offers a variety of english-language materials to teach new referees and to help veterans brush up on their skills. These materials include blog posts, where he analyzes contemporary issues regarding soccer, interviews with other notable referees, case studies of law changes, and much more. A recent notable appearance was during the U19 Cup Netherlands, where he refereed a second round match.

He graduated with distinction from Duke University; is a member of Phi Beta Kappa; and holds an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a frequent speaker and presenter on the officiating and youth sports industries, sportsmanship, and entrepreneurship.
